Lake County Film Festival this Week The
Lake County Film Festival begins this Thursday and it's looking
like it's going to be a fabulous time. 21 Carbs plays both Friday and Saturday and we're opening for
the documentary Fatboy
the Movie. Both screenings cost $7.00 Saturday, March, 4 2006 - 4:30P
BONUS! Charlie Don't Shake scorers of 21 Carbs and your new favorite band are playing Friday night, March 3rd at Cal's Bar [Chicago, corner of Wells and Van Buren]. Show starts at 10PM. Marty and Ian will be up in the front trying to keep Craig's consumption of spirits under control. UPCOMING FESTIVALS We've got three film festivals coming up in the near future.
First up is the Lake County Film Festival. 21 Carbs is screening before the documentary Fatboy the Movie on March 4th & 5th in Libertyville, IL Next, we are pleased to announce not one, but two different film festival screenings the last weekend of March. We will be taking part in the East Lansing Film Festival's Lake Michigan Film Competition and the Faux Film Festival in Portland, Oregon. Hooray for everyone! Tell Everyone that 21 Carbs is your friend! 21 Carbs is a short comedy about low carb diets that spoofs the visual style of the movie 21 Grams. A woman goes on a diet to win the affections of her superficial sister. Miraculously, she starts losing weight, until an "accident" changes everything. Shot by cinematographer Lon Stratton (Standing in the Shadows of Motown) and featuring Second City Detroit alumni and a cameo appearance by 8 Mile's Chloe Greenfield, 21 Carbs is a hilarious, multi-layered satire.
